While Cricket Australia were tenacious on having a pink ball Test, which has been a tradition for all visiting groups for as long as couple of years yet the Indian board has made it clear that they won't go astray from the conventional red-ball matches.

With Indian group administration, headed by boss mentor Ravi Shastri, implying the Committee of Administrators (CoA) that the group will take no less than year and a half to get ready for the Day/Night Test, acting secretary Choudhary was advised to pass on the message to CA CEO James Sutherland.

CA needed the opening Test at Adelaide from December 6-10 to be a pink ball Test coordinate.

"I am coordinated to state by the Committee of Administrators that India would start to play in the configuration just in about a year. Considering the present situation, I lament to state that the proposed D/N test can't be played and all tests should have the regular structure," Choudhary wrote in his email to Sutherland.

A week ago, Sutherland had told a radio station in Australia that India's hesitance to play the pink ball Test was principally a direct result of their desire to win the arrangement. Australia has not lost a solitary Test coordinate under lights played at home.

Then again, among Indian players, just Cheteshwar Pujara and Murali Vijay have played Day/Night pink ball coordinates in Duleep Trophy.
